In August, we wrapped up the 4th edition of the QUTE Summer School in Bratislava – our biggest edition so far, bringing together 80 participants from 19 countries, creating an international environment for students, researchers, educators and quantum technology enthusiasts to learn, experiment and exchange ideas.
Thirty years ago, Vladimír Bužek and Mark Hillery demonstrated that even when nature sets strict limits, there is still room to push the boundaries. Their work on optimal quantum cloning became a landmark contribution to quantum information science – and a lasting example of the expertise and scientific legacy behind QUTE.sk.
Once again this year, the Institute of Physics of the Slovak Academy of Sciences participated in the 2026 Summer School for Young Scientists, organized for the eighth time by the All4Science association in cooperation with the Slovak Academy of Sciences with the aim of introducing students aged 12 to 17 to the world of scientific research and motivating them to study science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).
